BIG WIN FOR THE VIVELO RIDERS AT THE KARLOVO XC OPEN CUP ’11

At Sunday 29th of May, for a second time in Karlovo has held an official XC race. We remind you that last year the event was in a XCO format and was won by Wauter Cleppe (video fromo last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTa-s0YhW7E. This year the organizers from "Green Way" have decided to stretch the course over a 37km. almost flat plains. The total positive denivelation was a mere 200 m! The Vivelo team was represented by the national XCM champion Daniel Petrov and the winner of the 2007 Tour of Bulgaria - Evgeni Balev. Daniel rode the Vivelo Iterne 01, while Evgeni was competing with the Vivelo Space 01. This was and the first race test for the two new models. The race start was given at 10:00 sharp and it took Evgeni and Daniel a mere 1:38:30 to cross the finish line. The flat sections and the tarmac at some parts of the track pushed the average speed of the winners well over 25km/h. Daniel placed first and Evgeni came home second, centimeters behind his teammate. With his win Daniel show that he is in a great form and will be contesting a consecutive national title in the Marathon discipline.
